This is a 1/4 Sim.   You are a welcome guest here, but we have the following expectations:

C A N N O N   C H A R A C T E R S:  From the TV Series & the Books "A Song of Fire & Ice."  Are prohibited.  We tried to use the characters, it caused issues - especially when those people ended up dying - what create another role? Endless creating? I think not!  Too much of a mess. Core Council decided to place our Story line far in the past - so far that it would NOT determine or step on the toes of the CANNON Characters in the TV Show or the Books.   CANNON Character names will not be used at all in Winterfell. It causes too much strife.  You may notice that in our group, some people have names of POV as their SL name - THAT and ONLY THAT is allowed - you cannot change their SL name and we will not ask them to, as to their actual Winterfell & A Game of Thrones Character - they will have a different story & character all-together.

M E T E R:   GM Meter** must be worn by everyone who intends to RP.  If you choose not to wear one, you will be assumed to be a visitor.  We now have Observation tags for you to wear, please make use of it. You will be expected not to interfere with the RP until such time as you have put on your GM meter & stop using the obs.

*NOTE:   but you MUST wear A GM meter to RP in Winterfell. That is an Absolute.

**NOTE:  The GM meter is a Meter commonly used in Gor but this does not mean that we are a Gorean Land.  There is no assumption of any Gorean customs intended or expected.   We are a Westeros Game of Thrones Roleplay Land and we are here to accurately represent A Game of Thrones & A Song of  Ice & Fire.  The meter is to allow for a proper setting within the confines of the Wall, when the  Wildlings will attack.  We will attack Wildlings.   The meter ensures fairness and adds some realistic damage to be recorded for the RP.

W E A P O N S:   Period GM-compatible weapons only.   NO GUNS, BOMBS, LIGHT SABRES, GRENADES, ROCKETS, CAGES, ORBITING, INVISIBILITY, PUSH DEVICES, INVISIBLE PRIMS, SHIELDS or non approved weapons.  No SL bases weapons HUDs, No anti-griefer HUDs and No listening devices.    WARNING: Violating this rule will get you banned. 

Z O O B I E S:  Are P R O H I B I T E D!!  I see one on the land - I will not ask you to remove it, I will return it to you without warning.  This is your only warning - Unless you have a Low script Animal to Ride, Please do not bring any "pets" to Winterfell.

M O M M Y   T A L K E R   T U M M I E S:  PROHIBITED.  You want to be pregnant? Go for it - just do not wear the huds and the talkers. They cause major sim lag.

S P E C I E S:   Humans. Direwolves are also allowed, but no furries. No Lions, Tigers, Bears. NO EXCEPTIONS.  If in doubt, ask an Admin.

A G E:  We follow the Second Life TOS guidelines.  YOU must be OVER 18. A Child Avi must roleplay as actual children.  They MUST have an adult that is a Mother/Father/Aunt/Uncle with them.  NO ORPHANS... And the Parent/Guardian and child must be a natural relationship.  Any roleplay that is considered indecent or is considered as abusive or damaging to a child will not be tolerated.  THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ANY THING THAT EVEN SEEMS INAPPROPRIATE.   So if you don’t think you can trust your own actions, or the actions of others don’t take on this type of role.  Don’t risk the PERMANENT BAN for yourself and the other parties involved.  There will be no second chance.

D W A R V E S:  Are not considered children, nor to be considered children. Take note the odd shaped head, misshapen body and large hands and feet.

***MISCELLANEOUS***

N O   T E L E P O R T I N G   I N   O R   O U T   OF   R P (or combat) – It’s disrespectful to other RPers.  Come through the main teleport zones, or exit the RP then move out of sight of others before teleporting out.

N O   O O C   I N   L O C A L   C H A T  - NONE.  Not ever.   We will take a hard line on this fundamental rule.  IMs or the OOC Group chat can be used for general OOC banter or discussions.  If you aren’t sure what constitutes OOC vs. RP, please ask. (ONLY OOC permitted: (brb, afk, 911, bk,) Do not make a big deal of it, and no need to welcome them back just continue.

R E A L I S T I C   A T T I R E - Rustic Medieval and Viking attire.  Direwolves need to always be as Direwolves, no morphing permitted.  No Modern clothing.  (Please don’t change in or around the rp area.   Its disrespectful to the other RPers.   No latex, camisks, silks or panther gear.  Don't wear it... you will be asked to change. )  No Collars, this is not Gor - Collars represent Slaves, and Slavery is frowned upon in Winterfell. (it especially causes major lag). Remember,  we are in the Icy North here.  Please dress  as if you lived there in the chilly outdoors. And your life depended on your warmest clothing.

M O N E Y:  Lindens can NOT be used in RP for Role Play goods and services.  Lindens are also NOT used for ransoms, bribery, theft etc.  Don’t ask for it, report anyone asking you for it.  If you have any questions, ask an Admin.  We will be issuing special Huds soon for Barter & Trade for your RP.

S A F E   Z O N E S:  There are no safe zones.   However, we are an RP sim.  Don’t attack without a valid RP reason and RP interaction before, during and after the incident.  Random attacks will be viewed as harassment, and not tolerated.

N O   H A R R A S S I N G  -  If an issue that cannot be resolved amongst yourselves in IMs, contact an Admin.

N O   M O D E R N   S L A N G:   Abbreviations  as "lol" "brb" "kk" "wtf" "cya" "r u done?" is not appropriate in role play.

NO GOD MODDING - It's unfair and annoying.

NO DRAMA -  Save the theatrics for the RP please.  This is still Winterfell   We pride ourselves on never whining and sucking it up.  Drama is not welcome.  If there is an issue which legitimately affects the RP or if you are being harassed, bring it to the attention of a Admin so that it can be addressed swiftly.
